11.06.23 "Doctor My Eyes" Can't See Loan Volume Increases
------------------------
Doctor, our eyes have seen the bears. And the bad parade of rates, with bulls breaking. Now, we want loans to expand. The moment of truth came last week, which ended with a strong bull run to a new trend. The historic levels of shorts heading into the Treasury and Fed announcements and the Jobs report drove rates down.
It becomes increasingly challenging to tighten in 2024. As a result, expect the Bond Bulls to return the curve to wider inversion. At least until the short-end prices in the Fed easing. But do not look for a large increase in loan volume or margins.Just showing it's too late for thee.-------------------------Song: Doctor, My Eyes (1972) Jackson Browne1997 Remasteredhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrCLkeYKuEw
