Coincidence or Something More? Reflections on Life, Timing, and Connection – 04/21/2026 Weekly Mortgage Update Segment

[David]  Marc, you got any rants for us today before we get over to Alan? I probably do. I think that I. I wrote a Mark’s musing. I’ll share something on. I just want to get picture.  By the way, your mark musings are really well written. They’re good.

[Marc]I spent a lot of time on ’em. I try to do one a day and, but I just did one. It was meaningful to me that I wanted to share with the people online because you never know when life’s gonna turn around and the people on the call ’cause you’re all friends. I wrote this time about what is coincidence in life and what is not. I had two things happen in the last 30 days that were remarkable. First I go to a VFW meeting for you, non-military people that’s veterans of foreign war. End up talking to a guy there that was an officer in the Transportation Corps. And I said, oh, did you know my brother-in-law, Joe in Virginia? He said, yeah. And so I sent that information to my brother-in-law and he couldn’t remember the very wife, but his wife did ’cause she was in transportation corps too. So out of the blue in the middle of nowhere, Alabama, I bump into a guy at a VFW meeting that knew my brother-in-law 30 years ago in the military. Does anybody want to take a chance at looking at what the probability of that is? It’s gotta be some astronomical number. Then another thing my partner and I sold our companies and we had a guy who was in it working there. He left right before we sell it to go to work for the FBI. And he saw one of my books out there and called me and said, I’m a writer too and I wanna catch up. ‘Cause we were pretty good friends back in the workforce before he became an FBI agent. His wife’s an FBI agent. And so we got on the phone and talked and while we’re talking on the phone, where do you think this guy’s living right now? my hometown, my small hometown in North Carolina, Salisbury, North Carolina, where I was born in 1950 and lived the first seven years of my life. Now both those things happen in the last 30 to 40 days. Don’t y’all think? That’s weird.

[David] There’s been so many coincide and their weirdness is starting to show up a lot. Those kind of coincidences are starting to show up more and more, so I’m starting to think there’s more of an intelligent design to haul us. When you start thinking that,

[Marc] that’s where I am, David. That’s exactly where I’m going, buddy. I just thought I’d share with you. I thought You’ all get a kick up. I got a kick out of it, so I wrote about it. Yeah, that’s interesting. Yeah, I think that’s pretty cool.

[David] That is cool. Mark, thanks for your service too, by the way. We always met our veterans and what these guys are going through. So many people are saying we lost who we’ve lost in this war. And it’s sad and tragic, but considering Tiki on a nation as strong and big as Iran, this is a miracle that we have not lost more.

[Marc] I’m real concerned because they take out one of those ships over, they can take out about 2000 people at one time.

[David] Yeah, I know.  I think this is a very I don’t want go into that. We, hopefully that will not happen. ’cause that’s gonna have a negative effect on a lot of things that this what’s going on. Yep. It would.
