08-04-2025 “You Know My Name” Bonds Know the Game!

————–

With the loss of jobs, do you know what Fed gives? Odds are you won’t like what it is.

Last Wednesday, the slow-to-ease Fed became the soon-to-ease-slightly Fed, but by Friday, the Fed had lost control. A voting member resigned as the market screamed to the Fed, ‘You will ease in September.’

The drama of shooting the ‘weak jobs’ messenger or firing a liar whose figures lie is irrelevant to fixed-income markets that rely on much deeper and wider statistics than the BLS. The bullish trend and fresh momentum in the 10-year yield affirm our target of 3.80. So, does corporate pricing power disappear amid 3% US GDP and weak Job Growth?

Bonds know the game.
